長野県をワインブドウの適地としている理由に山脈に囲まれている事による低降雨量がありますが、中でも岐阜県との境、南北に延びる北アルプスは3000m級の山々が連なり、西側からやってくる湿った空気や雨雲を遮るバリヤーの役割を果たしています。登山者やスキー客に愛されてやまない北アルプスの別名は飛騨山脈と言い飛ぶ馬を模した名称。私たちは主に北アルプスの影響を受ける池田町や安曇野、そして塩尻にかけて延びる日本有数の優良ブドウ栽培地域のブドウを丁寧に醸したワインに対し、飛騨山脈をリスペクトする意味でペガサス・ヒルズと名付けました。

2024年の跳は発酵前の低温醸しを5日間行った後で、30℃以上の高温で発酵。1日に2回から3回の櫂突きを行い色と味わいを抽出。フランス産オーク材の新樽で6か月間熟成した後にボトリングしました。早くから楽しめる豊かな果実風味が特徴ですが、しっかりとした骨格がある為に10年間は熟成します。

Nagano Prefecture is well suited to viticulture thanks to its relatively low rainfall, influenced by surrounding mountain ranges. The Northern Alps (Hida Mountains), rising to around 3,000 metres along the Gifu border, act as a natural barrier, blocking moist air and rain clouds from the west. Inspired by the Hida Mountains—whose name evokes the image of a flying horse—we named this wine Pegasus Hills.

For the 2024 vintage, the must underwent five days of cold maceration prior to fermentation, followed by fermentation at temperatures exceeding 30°C. Punch-downs were carried out two to three times daily to extract colour and flavour. The wine was then matured for six months in new French oak barrels before bottling.

It is characterised by generous fruit flavours that can be enjoyed from a young age. At the same time, its firm structure suggests strong ageing potential, with the capacity to develop over the next 10 years.
